Firefighter Spotlight

Senior Firefighter Jeff Webb

Why did you join the Hendersonville Fire Department?

I joined the Hendersonville Fire Department because Hendersonville is where I grew up

and where I live.  I wanted to give back to my home town.

What you like most about Hendersonville Fire Department?

What I like most about HFD is working with great people that make it an enjoyable

place to be…it’s like it’s not work at all.

What is the most significant development in your career?

I would have to say the most significant development in my career is the Dive Team,

which was formed in 2004.  The team has full dive capability, along with a new state of the art

dive boat.  The city has twenty eight miles of shore line that we are required to cover.

Any Community Activities?

My family and I are very active in the community.  We attend the Hendersonville Church of Christ

where there always seems to be something scheduled for the community.

We all play ball at Drakes Creek whether its softball, baseball, football or soccer,

you can find us at the park.  Nowadays, all I do is help coach the boys and their teams,

which I wouldn’t trade for anything.

  What are your future plans?

As far as my plans for the future, I hope to stay with HFD and keep advancing through the ranks.

Family?

I will be married to my lovely wife, Tammy for fifteen years this May.  We have two boys,

Preston 10 and Case 7.  I guess you can say we are an All American Family,

me a firefighter and Tammy a teacher.

I was with another department for 3 ˝ years when I got the chance to

come to HFD.  It was a great honor to come and serve the city where I grew up.

I would like to thank the department for this opportunity.
