Firefighter Spotlight

Senior Firefighter Tim Lovell

Why did you join the Hendersonville Fire Department?

When I joined the Hendersonville Fire Department in July 1985,

I was really looking for a job that would allow me to help people and at

the same time be exciting.  With this job, I had no idea just how

many great people I would get to meet and communicate with.

What do you like most about the Hendersonville Fire Department?

Over the years, working with HFD has given me satisfaction in

many ways.  The people I work with are all so good hearted and

professional that I couldnít ask for a better group of guys.  It doesnít

stop there though; the people we meet in our community

every time we go out on a call are all just phenomenal.

We are so fortunate to work in such a gracious and loving community.

What is the most significant development in your career?

The most significant development in my career would be the fact that

our gear and equipment are better than ever.  Also, the training

that is offered to firefighters provides us with more information and

technology on how to quickly make a fire scene safe and easier to work.

  What are your future plans?

I have been married to my wife Michele almost 25 years and

I have a daughter Haley thatís a sophomore at Station

Camp High School.

I enjoy fishing, hunting, bowling and spending time with

my family.  If it is an activity outdoors, you can count me in.

I plan to continue my career at HFD and will try to help the

citizens of Hendersonville as much as I can.
