Memorial Park Plaza Fountain Dedication

The Hendersonville Rotary Club along with the newly formed Hendersonville Lakeside Rotary Club

and the local High School Interact Clubs initiated the renovation of

Memorial Park as their Centennial Celebration Project.

The $200,000.00 project resulted in substantial improvements to Memorial Park

located on the banks of Old Hickory Lake.

The memorial is dedicated to all Armed Services, Law Enforcement, Firefighters and

Emergency Medical Service personnel as signified by a  brick "ring of honor"

surrounding the fountain.

Memorial walkways leading to the fountain were paved with bricks in remembrance of loved ones.

On Friday, November 11, 2005, the fountain was dedicated.

Representatives from the various branches of the armed services as well as police officers,

emergency medical personnel and members of our department were in attendance.

Members of Hendersonville Fire Department Honor Guard participated in the flag raising.

The national anthem was performed by the chorus from Hendersonville High School.
